Art and Chris came in from Phoenix Thursday afternoon. We all had dinner here at the house and just sat around talking for several hours. It was so good to see them; Tom really misses having his brother live nearby! We will be going to Phoenix for Thanksgiving again this year.
For dinner we had wild Alaskan salmon with a blueberry balsamic glaze; roasted cauliflower with parmasean; fresh baked whole wheat bread; and a peach-blueberry pie for desert. I must say that everything was delicious. Oh, we also had a very nice french Pinot Gris to go with our meal.
Friday, Tom played in the ASPE (plumbing) golf outing. Before going to work on Friday, we took the Reatta in for inspection and to have the air conditioner retrofitted to R-134. Now we will have air conditioning for our trip to Boston next month.
Lisa will be here soon to clean the house (yippie ... one of my luxuries)! Tom and I are going to the Sewickley Farmer's Market then Tom will go pick up Art. They will go to Cathy's in Ellwood City. I plan on going to a 'secret sale' at J.Jill in Ross Park Mall and will more than likely see if there are any shoes there calling my name!
The cat is fine ... he had some sort of stomach bug and bronchitis. After a steriod and antibiotic shot, he is as good as new.
Gary ... if you are reading this BEFORE you go to OKC, take your nook (and all the paperwork) with you. You can exchange it at the Barnes & Noble there. BUT READ THE PAPERS THAT CAME WITH THE NOOK ABOUT EXCHANGES FIRST. Returns on the nook have to be made within 14 days ... you have exceeded that. (I will email you this too, inc case you don't read it here.)
